Goodbye Tharushi

Tharushi is an undergraduate student studying for a degree in Boisciences at Brunel University London. As part of her degree programme, Tharushi joined our lab in September 2023 to undertake a research placement focussing on investigating immune cells in healthy ageing... a year goes by so quickly and we will miss her!

Prof Gavins visits The Stroke Association's garden at RHS Chelsea

Such a pleasure to spend time with The Stroke Association and the acclaimed landscape designer Miria Harris, who designed the Garden for Recovery at this year's RHS Chelsea. Miria drew inspiration for the garden from her own experience of surviving a stroke and the experiences of others.

Goodbye Andreas

Andreas joined our lab for a four-month placement after graduating in Biochemistry from Middlesex University and completing a one-year placement at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. It has been wonderful having him in the Gavins lab, and we are sorry to see him go back to Cyprus. We wish him all the best for the future! Come back and visit us!
